Your privacy is fundamental to how we build HBD ("we," "our," or "us"), accessible via hbd.yourara.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and how your anonymity is strictly guarded when you send or receive birthday wishes.

2. Our Anonymity Commitment

When a well-wisher sends a wish with the "100% Anonymous" option selected:

• No Identity Sharing: We do NOT disclose your name, email, or profile identity to the celebrant or to public viewers of the wall. The celebrant only sees "Anonymous".
• Zero Social Tracking: We never publicly link your social media account to anonymous messages.
• Safety Exemptions: If a message violates criminal laws, makes terroristic threats, or breaches serious harassment rules, server logs may be reviewed internally or provided to law enforcement pursuant to a valid legal subpoena.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to deliver the service:

• Celebrant Account Information: Username, display name, birthday, email, password hash, and optional bio.
• Payout Details: Bank name and account number used solely to disburse gifts and treats received on your birthday wall.
• Wish & Gift Data: Messages, chosen treats, and timestamps submitted on party walls.
• Technical Diagnostics: Standard web logs (IP address, browser type) used for rate-limiting, DDoS protection, and service stability.

4. Payment & Financial Security

Monetary gifts and treat payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways (e.g., Flutterwave). HBD does not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or debit card PINs.All payment transactions are encrypted and transmitted directly to the payment processor.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use lightweight session cookies and local storage solely to keep you signed in, remember your viewing preferences, and prevent duplicate animations (such as the intro preloader). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or sell your personal information to data brokers.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You maintain complete control over your celebration wall:

• You can delete or hide any wish message from your dashboard at any time.
• You can modify your birthday, bio, and visual theme.
• You may request complete account deletion by emailing our privacy team.
